Residential camps

Give your pupils a great opportunity for outdoor learning. Feel a buzz from seeing those who don't engage in competitive team sports being the first to reach the top of a climb, and be amazed as the students who struggle in the classroom take the lead and support their peers through a variety of challenges. We design our courses with your students in mind, with as much or as little input as you like. A lot of schools use outdoor residential trips as an end of year reward; a chance for the kids to relax and be kids- we can be flexible enough in our program for them to find time to follow an army of ants through the woods, make a mud pie or take a break from packing up tents to watch a woodpecker feed its chicks.

As children push themselves in a new environment,

Have a particular theme in mind, or want to link the trip to a current cross-curricular project or specific subject? We can tailor the program to meet your requirements.

We can run courses from camp sites, youth hostels, bunk houses or even using your school as a base.

Whether you are looking for a multi-activity trip with short taster sessions, three days of progressive climbing coaching or a 5 day canoe expedition with bushcraft and camping along the way, we are able to build a bespoke package to meet your needs.

We include all meals, and even get the students involved in preparing their own meals (and of course doing their own washing up!) learning life skills and gaining independence. We use qualified outdoor instructors to deliver the activities, and have a core team staying with your group throughout, giving us the opportunity to get to know the pupils and provide the support they need to get the most out of the experiences presented.

All our instructors are first aid qualified, and our course directors, Pete and Claire, have volunteered for the ambulance service for a number of years, responding to 999 calls in the local community; this has given us the knowledge and experience to apply our training in a cal,m and efficient manner, providing a higher level of care should any issues arise. We also have a much more comprehensive first aid kit including defibrillator available on all out courses as an additional backup.
